Kāhuli, or Achatinella mustelina, is an endangered snail species unique to the Waiʻanae mountains of Oʻahu. These snails, with their distinct earth-colored spiral shells, play a crucial role in maintaining forest health by recycling nutrients back into the ecosystem.
